commissions
I take on a small number of commissions each year. Commissions often grow from an existing strand of my practice, such as Wild Lace or the paper tapestries, but each develops in response to its particular setting. Scale, material, light and the character of the space all become part of the work.
Working primarily with handmade paper made from plant fibres, each piece is made slowly by hand. The process remains visible in the finished work: variations in fibre, surface and structure are part of its character.
Larger commissions
Larger works can be developed for private homes, public spaces and other architectural settings. These are often site-responsive, taking into account the proportions and character of the space, its light and, where relevant, its relationship to place. Prices are based on size and material.

The process:
A commission begins with a conversation about the space and the work you are drawn to. We’ll consider scale, material, installation, timescale and budget, as well as any relationship to place you would like the work to hold.For site-responsive commissions, I will usually visit the space, or explore it with you through video and photographs, before developing a proposal.
The work is then developed in the studio, with key stages shared as it takes shape. Where required, mounting, lighting and installation can also be considered as part of the commission.

Hogweed – Les Diablerets, 2026
Handmade hogweed paperMade for a home in Les Diablerets, where hand-cut paper has a long tradition. The work takes its form from the surrounding glaciers, but is made from hogweed gathered locally: an image of the place, made from the place itself.
Welsh Tapestry, 2026
Handmade recycled paper, hand-dyedCommissioned to respond to childhood memories of Welsh tapestry blankets — their repeating patterns, weight and colour. Recycled papers were pulped, hand-dyed and remade, allowing a familiar textile language to re-emerge in paper.Prices are based on size and material.
